Custom 3D printing FAQ
What file formats do you accept?
Ideally STL, 3MF or STEP. We can also work from a drawing or a physical part — we do reverse engineering.
What accuracy can you achieve?
Standard ±0.2 mm, down to ±0.05 mm (SLA) on request. A dimensional inspection report is available on request.
What is the minimum quantity?
None. We print from a single piece to runs of thousands — the price per piece drops with quantity (see the table by the calculator).
How fast do you deliver?
A prototype usually in 2–5 business days, series in 1–2 weeks, express within 48 hours. We confirm the deadline up front and keep it.
How does payment work?
By invoice. We are VAT payers; for EU companies we invoice under reverse charge. The calculator shows prices in CZK and €.
Do you deliver outside the Czech Republic?
Yes, across the whole EU — we're a European supplier, no customs or long waits for distant shipments. Within the Czech Republic, shipping is free on orders over CZK 1,000.
Do you print in-house or resell?
Everything is printed 100% in-house at our farm in Janovice nad Úhlavou — FDM of all sizes and SLA (resin).
Can we test a sample before a larger order?
Yes. For larger orders we print and ship a free sample so you can verify the material, accuracy and surface finish before production starts.
How many colours can you print?
For larger series we print up to 4 colours in a single part; for individual pieces and smaller runs up to 16 colours. We're happy to help design the colour scheme.
How durable are printed parts?
It depends on the material and the load — a well-chosen part lasts years of normal service. We'll help you choose, and for larger orders we ship a free sample so you can verify the properties yourself.
Can parts be used outdoors?
Yes. For outdoor use we pick materials that resist UV and weather — typically ASA or PETG. We'll advise based on the exact environment the part will live in.
Can we sign an NDA?
Yes — if you'd like, we're happy to sign a mutual NDA free of charge, even before you send any data. It's entirely up to you; either way we never use your models for our own products.
How much does custom 3D printing cost?
The price depends on the part size (material used), the material chosen and the quantity — the price per piece drops with volume. The fastest way to find out is our online calculator: upload an STL, 3MF or OBJ file and see a 3D preview and an instant estimate in CZK or €.
Do I need a finished 3D model?
No. A sketch, a drawing or a physical part is enough — we create or adapt the model from your input, including reverse engineering. With a finished model (STL, 3MF or OBJ) you get a price instantly in the online calculator.
